From a visit to the Cathedral of Notre Dame, to the Fenaille Museum, via the National Stud and the historic centre: as you stroll through its streets, going where your fancy leads you, lots of surprises await you in the capital of Aveyron.

As you approach Rodez, like a noble host, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, dating from the 13th and 14th centuries, will be there to welcome you. When evening comes the building is illuminated by 500 spotlights, revealing all its architectural treasures.
The Flamboyant Gothic steeple, a lacework of pink sandstone points the way to the old part of Rodez. The historic centre of the town is filled with fine town houses and listed buildings. Don’t miss the Saturday morning market on the Place du Bourg where local farmers exhibit their produce: markets are an integral part of the way of life of the South-West.
Finally, as the people who live there like to put it: Rodez offers the best of town living, but in the countryside!
